1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the website remember information about your visit, making your next visit easier and more useful.
2. How OrientDao Uses Cookies
OrientDao uses minimal cookies and local storage. Here's what we use:
| Cookie/Storage | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| orientdao_user_id | Anonymous user ID for data isolation | Persistent (localStorage) |
| orientdao_element | Your quiz result element type | Persistent (localStorage) |
| orientdao_archetype | Your quiz result archetype | Persistent (localStorage) |
| orientdao_email | Your email (if provided) | Persistent (localStorage) |
3. No Tracking Cookies
OrientDao does not use:
- • Advertising or tracking cookies (Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, etc.)
- • Third-party tracking cookies
- • Cross-site tracking identifiers
- • Fingerprinting technologies
4. Managing Your Preferences
Since we only use localStorage (not traditional cookies), you can manage your data directly:
To clear your data:
Browser Settings → Privacy & Security → Clear browsing data → Cookies and site data
To view your data:
Open browser Developer Tools (F12) → Application tab → Local Storage
Clearing localStorage will remove your anonymous user ID and all associated results. This action cannot be undone.
5. Payment Cookies
When you make a purchase, our payment processor (Creem) may set its own cookies for fraud prevention and session management. These are governed by Creem's privacy policy.
6. Changes to This Policy
If we add new features that require additional cookies, we will update this policy and notify you on the website.
